[She sighs and pockets her phone, sitting down on one of the wooden meditation benches while she waits for him to come down.]

[ This is a bad idea and he knows it, but at least Dawn isn't inviting him to her room. Not that he can't handle it, because he's a freakin adult, but- it's Dawn, and she's been on his mind a lot. Too much, considering he's trying to keep it all together over here.

But he also knows how stubborn she is, and that she won't let this go until they do this face to face. So he heads down to the zen garden, stoic look on his face as he spots her. ]

[She's glad that he realizes that her stubborn nature hasn't dissipated over the years and when he comes into the garden she looks up, her dark eyes immediately going to his.]

[His expression might be stoic but she can see the turmoil in his eyes. Bruce taught him to mask his emotions pretty well but he's never been able to quite conceal them when it comes to his eyes.]

[ Dick's not sure how he'd feel about knowing that he can't mask everything. Then again, it's not like he wants to go along with everything Bruce has taught him anymore.

Maybe that's what he's been waring with. ]

[It could also be because Dawn's so familiar with the emotional weather in those brown eyes of his, either way she's always been glad that his eyes aren't like Bruce's which seem far too cold to her.]

[ Bruce's eyes- occasionally warm, mostly mysterious, often cold. Dick doesn't want to be that way, but it's hard breaking out of the mold he was shoved into for so long. One he felt forced into, and then grew into so incredibly.

He doesn't want to screw this up. He's already made so many mistakes, and everything that happened with Dawn was one of them.]

Not less, just more lenient. But you never let me get away with shit, even when I need to.
