[ his hand slides into hair when she moves forward to kiss him, and he kisses back openly and freely, everything feeling open and raw, but in this case it's alright. ]

[he says quietly, resting his forehead against hers when she goes on to tell him things he's always longed to hear. he wonders if this time it could be true. that she wants him, despite all his ugliness, everything that feels chaotic and overwhelmed and upset. that he doesn't have to be alone. he sniffles a little, but he nods, then leans in to press his lips against hers again, kissing her deeper.]
[Everything seems to slow down when he kisses her, the sound of the waterfall going quiet compared to the way he makes her heart pound and when he deepens the kiss she responds in full. Opening her mouth to him and sliding her tongue against his, her hands moving around his waist so she can pull herself tighter against him.]

So did I. There was some teen magazine article that a friend of mine brought to school that suggested that's how you practice. So then of course you had all these young girls kissing and making out with their hands at lunch.
[ he doesn't feel amazing, especially after the events of today, but he likes the way she looks at him and touches him, and maybe if he can just feel good about that, it's enough.
he kisses her back, slow and soft, then nods his head. ]
[The path up to the top of the waterfall is steep and has a lot of steps but it's worth it, when they reach the top they are able to see out across the park fully and Dawn smiles happily. Pulling Jason over to the edge so he can see the start of the waterfall, which is gentle and slow compared to the cascading water down at the bottom.]
[ it's good that it's a little harder to get up there. it helps clear his head of anything else until this beautiful nature walk with Dawn is all he can think of. he's not sure if he ever would have done this with anyone else... then again, no one else would ever think to bring him to a place like this.

[A very faint blush sweeps across her cheeks when he kisses her and she moves closer. Looping an arm around his waist so she can hug herself against him and lean her head against his shoulder. It feels so nice to be out in the world with him, relaxing and just basking in each other's warmth as the sun shines down on them and the park.]

[She says and pulls out her phone, flipping the camera to selfie mode and holding it out so she can take a few nice, not to mention a few silly, photos of them together. She grins and kisses his cheek, messaging him copies immediately.]
