RP with Rachel/Raven

[dawn_is_breaking]

[It took a little longer than expected to plan out all the details and secure a firm date for their girl's night but finally Dawn had booked a flight and hotel and made the long journey from Paris to San Francisco, giving herself one day to sleep off the jet lag and then the next day it's time to meet Rachel.

She feels excited but also a little nervous, it feels like a lot has happened between then and now and she hopes nothing will be weird between them. She's missed Rachel a lot and when she arrives at the coffee shop they agreed to meet at she sits down on the patio, taking out her phone to shoot Rachel a text that says:]

I'm here.

So are sloths, in a living coconut kind of way.

Yeah, they're pretty cute too.

[dawn_is_breaking]

[Dawn opens her sheet mask and pulls it out, on it is a cartoon rendition of a sleepy sloth face and she lays it over her face.]

Okay it says we leave them on for about 20 mins. [She says and then flops back on the bed on her back.]

[ Rachel puts hers on as well and relaxes. The music is helping and it's cool to hang out with Dawn too. ]

I'm glad we're doing this.

Me too, I feel like we both need it.
So often with vigilante work you just keep going and going, you forget to stop and take care of yourself.

Self care is super important.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Self care and a good skincare routine, you probably don't need it as much because you're young and don't have to wear a mask but I can tell you that wearing those goggles all the time used to wreak havoc on my skin sometimes.

[feelthedarkness]

You're young too.

[ Rachel laughed. ]

[dawn_is_breaking]

Yes but not as young as you.

[feelthedarkness]

Still pretty young though...with amazing skin.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Oh well thank you, it's looking better now that I'm getting more sleep.

That definitely helps.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Not that I'm going to get a ton of sleep tonight because if I only get to see you for one evening I am going to cram in so much fun.

[She says and gives Rachel's side a playful poke.]

I doubt we'll get any sleep.

[ Rachel giggled when Dawn poked her. It really was nice to catch up with her after all this time. ]

So, tell me more team gossip. How's Conner? Is Dick still a bad cook?

Things with Connor have been weird because you know...Lex stuff. We eat a lot of takeout.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Can I ask a possibly strange question about that? The Lex stuff I mean.

[feelthedarkness]

Sure. Ask away.

[dawn_is_breaking]

You mentioned that after meeting Lex, Conner shaved all his hair off to kind of look like him.

[She pauses and then tilts her head to look at Rachel.]

Did he look good bald? Or did it look weird?

[feelthedarkness]

It definitely doesn't look like the innocent Conner we know. More...sinister I guess. I don't know, it's not the best look.

[dawn_is_breaking]

I guess all of us got so used to him being like that, that it's hard to see him lose some of those innocence.

I'm mostly curious because sometimes when people shave their heads they look great and other times they find out they have odd shaped skulls.

[feelthedarkness]

I have a picture on my phone.

[ Rachel unlocks her phone and goes into the photos, scrolling to the one of Connor. ]

[dawn_is_breaking]

[Dawn moves closer to look at the photo, making a thoughtful noise in her throat.]

Not a bad, I mean he has a nice shaped skull but you're right. It's a very different look for him which I suppose is the point.

Very different. It's super weird. I just want our Conner back.

[dawn_is_breaking]

To be fair to him he might not ever be exactly the same, he's growing up which means he has to make mistakes.
