There is a haunting quality to it that I enjoy. Thank you for sharing.

Some people have created their own endings to the piece over the years. It's an interesting conceit, even if leaving it unfinished was not intentional. To begin something and offer it up for others to take in what direction they choose.

Haunting is a good word for it, to me it feels like a cold wind going through the branches of a tree stripped of it's leaves.

That's very interesting, I'm guessing that it would really showcase how each person read the song if they were to try and finish it. Are there any modern musicians that you enjoy?

So many only see winter in such images, rather than the comforting blanket that provides the chance for a new start come spring. Sometimes such bareness and early dark provide perspective to then receive the coming bounty.

I suppose it's a bit cheating to choose those I've met, but... I do enjoy Foxglove's music. [He shares with her some of the artist's works.] There is a... rawness to it. It is not polished, yet pure in it's own way.

Oh that's not the only way I see winter, it's just that song in particular reminds me of that visual.

Forgive me then for reading into it. It is an apt visual. I suppose the seasons have been on my mind. Or rather, many minds.

I have indeed. Though she is closer with my sister. It was a difficulty involving the Dreaming though that alerted me, not simply because she is an artist. [He really does not just find artists to hang with...] She's retired now, I think? Focusing on family away from the limelight. I would not envy that sort of pressure.

No forgiveness needed, a lot of people tend to think of autumn and winter as depressing months. I think they're lovely in their own way.

I like her music, I think my sister would like it even more so I'll send her the link as well.

Please do, music and art are meant to be shared. At least, that which the artist has put out for public consumption. How fares your sister, from what a sibling might share?

So far as I know she's been good lately, working hard and dating some new guy.

Full disclosure? I know her, obviously. The other mortals I've interacted with had not families still living.

Knowing about someone and knowing them in the sense of family ties though is different.

I assumed that you knew her at least a little, she does dream after all.
But I also assumed that you aren't one to snoop once we started to get to know one another.

Snoop, no. That is not an action I entertain, regardless. It's more... I carry her subconscious with me, as I do them all. It's a connection that exists, no matter what.

I just didn't wish to appear disingenuous. It is not the same as when we speak, or I do my own family. Yes, I know her subconscious take on her new boyfriend. No, that is not the same as knowing what all is going on in the waking world.

I do nothing idly, least of all inquire as to what matters to you. If I knew all... well. I'd be insufferable, but I would not ask.
