RP with Rachel/Raven

[It took a little longer than expected to plan out all the details and secure a firm date for their girl's night but finally Dawn had booked a flight and hotel and made the long journey from Paris to San Francisco, giving herself one day to sleep off the jet lag and then the next day it's time to meet Rachel.

She feels excited but also a little nervous, it feels like a lot has happened between then and now and she hopes nothing will be weird between them. She's missed Rachel a lot and when she arrives at the coffee shop they agreed to meet at she sits down on the patio, taking out her phone to shoot Rachel a text that says:]

I'm here.

[Dawn's phone pings and she picks up up.]

Oooh and speaking of positive things, the pizza is here!

Oooh yay pizza! Can't wait to have a slice. Or two.

Or three or four? I don't know about you but I plan on eating half this pizza on my own.

Who cares about control when it comes to pizza? [Dawn says with a grin and goes to answer the door and get the pizza, thanking the delivery guy.]

Tonight is all about letting go and having fun, remember?

[ And Rachel is pretty hungry, she ate earlier today but right now she can't remember when. ]

[dawn_is_breaking]

Of course I am, so let's dig in.

[She says and hops back onto the bed, opening the pizza box and inhaling deeply.]

Ohhh my god, that smells SO good.

It really does smell good. It's been awhile since I've had pizza.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Well since it's been so long for you, you get to pick the first and best piece.

[ Rachel takes a moment to decide which piece that is before selecting one and pulling it out, the cheese stretching as she lifts it. ]

I think I got it.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Good choice.

[Dawn says and selects one of the larger pieces for herself, she pulls it out and takes a big bite.]

Mmmm! Mmhmm! Good.

[ Rachel takes a good-sized bite too. ]

It's perfect.

[ Or maybe it's just been too long since she's had pizza. But either way, it's delicious and just what she needs tonight. ]

I think that pizza really is the perfect food, you get cheese and bread and meat and veggies....all in one easy to eat package.

Try telling Dick that.

I would but pretty much since I left it's been radio silence from him.

I'm going to yell at him.

That's very sweet of you but it's not necessary.

[She says with a little sigh.]

Dick's obviously got more important things to worry about and besides it's not like this is the first time he's cut off all contact with me. After a while a girl gets the hint.

No, he is always talking about being a team and a family and yet he basically abandons people when they need him the most.

[dawn_is_breaking]

I don't think Dick considers me part of the family anymore, Rachel.

Well, he's wrong.

[Dawn looks at Rachel for a moment and then puts down her pizza so she can pull the younger girl in for a tight hug.]

Thank you, sweetheart. It means a lot to me to actually hear someone say that out loud to me.

So I'm definitely yelling at him.

[ She hugs Dawn back. She hates that Dawn should be made to feel this way. ]

[dawn_is_breaking]

[She chuckles, knowing that Rachel is as stubborn as she is so it's best to just give in.]

Okay, yell at him all you want. Sometimes he needs it.
