RP with Rachel/Raven

[It took a little longer than expected to plan out all the details and secure a firm date for their girl's night but finally Dawn had booked a flight and hotel and made the long journey from Paris to San Francisco, giving herself one day to sleep off the jet lag and then the next day it's time to meet Rachel.

She feels excited but also a little nervous, it feels like a lot has happened between then and now and she hopes nothing will be weird between them. She's missed Rachel a lot and when she arrives at the coffee shop they agreed to meet at she sits down on the patio, taking out her phone to shoot Rachel a text that says:]

I'm here.

[ The hug is appreciated. Rachel feels better already after speaking to Dawn. ]

I love you too. Can't say I feel all that strong though.

That's because you're running on empty and are exhausted from having to process all of that. [Dawn says as she gently lets go.]

But that's going to change with a whole bunch of pampering and girl talk, right?

[OOC: All the good shows are getting canceled, it's infuriating!]

Yes, lots of all that.

[ Honestly, Rachel already feels lighter. So much has happened in the past few years and it's seemed like one trauma after another. Truly taking a night off would be good for her. ]

[dawn_is_breaking]

[ooc: I know right? Blugh.]

[Dawn has always thought that it's important they take nights off, it's something Dick never wanted to do but still appreciated when she made him do it from time to time and now she's more than happy to do the same for Rachel.]

Well then I think the first thing you need is to get yourself a nice coffee along with a treat.

[ooc: I actually just watched up to episode 6 over the weekend and my friend is getting me the next 6 episodes this weekend. :) And no worries for being slow.]

[ She'd also love if things could be normal again, but she supposes there is no real going back after all that's happened. And what's normal anyway? A setting on the washer? ]

[ooc: I like that they went more horror/scary and I loved Lex Luthor. I've never been a fan of him before but the way they did him was so damn cool, so I was sad he died at the end of the first episode XD ]

[Dawn smiles and gives her another quick hug.]

Me too. I've forgotten how nice it is to have family and friends. I've been living a rather solitary life in Paris.

[ OOC: Yeah, this version of him was really interesting. I can't wait to see what you think of the rest of the season. I kind of love Sebastian Blood but I am a sucker for Joseph Morgan. ]

That sounds really lonely, Dawn. I don't want you to be alone.

[ooc: So far I am enjoying Sebastian, I thought it was cute how him and Rachel were getting along. I also enjoyed Conner embracing his Luther side and slagging on Dick so much. ]

It's not all bad, it's given me a lot of time to think about certain things.

[She tilts her head to one side, her brows knitting together a little because Rachel seems extra sensitive about this.]

Why? Are you scared something will happen if I'm alone?

[ OOC: He does! And that 'tude! ]

No, it's not that. But you shouldn't have to be alone. You deserve better than that. I know everything that happened...but that doesn't mean you should be alone forever, Dawn. You should be happy.

[Dawn reaches across to give Rachel's hand a little squeeze.]

Well moving forward I won't be so alone, I'm going to try and visit you more often. And Donna has told me she'll eventually come spend some time in Paris.

[A small pause where she lifts a brow.]

Unless you're talking more about me dating again?

[feelthedarkness]

[ Rachel nods a bit. ]

Well, kind of both.

[dawn_is_breaking]

[She has to chuckle at that.]

You're not trying to set me up with someone, are you?

[feelthedarkness]

No. I just want you to be open to it.

[dawn_is_breaking]

Okay, I'll be open to it. But I think it will be a while until I find someone else.

[She says and then shrugs.]

Which in a way might be better. It gives me time to figure out who I want to be next and what I want to do with my life.

That makes sense. I just don't want you to be on your own, you know. I worry.

[dawn_is_breaking]

I appreciate that.

[She says and gives her hand another squeeze.]

But, speaking of dating and things like that.....are you and Gar finally a thing?

[ Rachel smiles and tucks some hair behind her ear. ]

Well, you know...it's complicated.

[dawn_is_breaking]

It can't be as complicated as the end of the world and it's a much better topic so come on. [She nudges Rachel playfully.]

Dish, girl. I want to hear it all.

Definitely a better topic but also not much time for romance when the world may be ending. Again. After, I don't know...if we survive, we'll see, right?

[ Rachel tries not to show how worried she is. ]

There's always time for romance.

[Dawn points out with a slightly sad smile.]

Especially if the world is maybe ending. Unlike some people who shall remain nameless [*cough*Dick*cough*] I think it's always best to tell people how you feel about them just in case something happens.

I would have been even more hurt if Hank had died and never knew how much I loved him.

Gar knows how I feel. I know how he feels. It's just...you know, not the right time.

[ Rachel looks sad at the mention of Hank. That never should have happened. She doesn't know how they can ever really get over something like that. ]
